cvi42 (Tissue Tracking) is a cardiac MRI feature-tracking module designed to quantify myocardial deformation from routine cine images. It tracks endocardial and epicardial motion to derive global and regional strain metrics, helping clinicians and researchers assess ventricular and atrial function without specialized tagging sequences. The workflow combines automated contour initialization with precise manual editing, quality checks, and clear visualizations to support confident interpretation and reporting.

Key capabilities:

  • Derives longitudinal, circumferential, and radial strain and strain rate for LV, RV, and atria (global and segmental)
  • Generates time–strain curves, bull’s‑eye plots, and vector overlays for intuitive review
  • Works with standard SSFP cine MRI and vendor‑neutral DICOM datasets
  • Offers automated or semi‑automated contouring with tools for quick correction and re-tracking
  • Provides quality control indicators and consistency checks across frames and slices
  • Exports measurements, graphs, and images to reports and common data formats for research or clinical documentation

Typical uses include evaluating cardiomyopathies, ischemic injury, myocarditis, cardiotoxicity monitoring, and athlete’s heart, enabling sensitive detection of subtle functional changes over time.

cvi42 (Tissue Tracking) is developed by Circle Cardiovascular Imaging. The most popular version of this product among our users is 5.0. The name of the program executable file is cvi42_TT.exe.
